ALAKNANDA CRUISE TOUR PACKAGE IN VARANASI

In an effort to promote tourism, Varanasi has started a 5-star luxury tourist cruise at Khidkiya Ghat, on September 2. The vessel named Alaknanda, is the first ever luxury cruise that will ferry passengers around all the 84 ghats. The 30-metre long double-decked modern liner can ferry up to 110 passengers. The service is started by Varanasi-based start-up venture Nordic Cruiseline.

It is also equipped with luxurious sofa-style seating and the passengers can enjoy the sights in comfort and style. The devotees can take a ride during sunrise and sunset and can see the famous Ganga aarti in the evening.

The cruise Alaknanda has a full-fledged will also have (vegetarian/ vegan) galley. The cruise consists of latest navigational systems and onboard GPS, free WiFi, a skid-proof afterdeck, four bio-toilets.

It is fully AV-equipped mini-stage on the lower deck, and a host of stringent safety features, personnel, and equipment. The lower deck is air-conditioned, while the upper deck is open only to the sides.

The cruise will make a trip for two hours daily in the morning and evening. It will start from Assi Ghat and end its journey at the same point after covering a distance of 12 kilometers.

MORNING CRUISE

The Morning Cruise offers a splendid view of the entire riverfront and the river bathed in the golden sunrise. The Cruise allows the viewer to witness the beauty of the sparkling river Ganga in the morning sunshine, and the exquisite view of the world-famous 84 Ghats of Kashi bathed in the golden sunlight in their full glory and grandeur.  The uniqueness of the life on ghats popularly known as “Subah E Banaras”, pilgrims performing rituals makes this a truly unforgettable experience.

All of this makes morning the BEST time for boating in river Ganga, which is beautifully expressed as “Subah-e-Banaras”.

EVENING CRUISE

The Evening Cruise will allow you to see the sun setting over the skyline, enjoy the beautiful view of the magnificent Ghats of Varanasi with the comfort and safety of our luxury cruise "Alaknanda". After sunset, the Ghats are lit up with beautiful decorative lights, and can be seen as a bright half-circle of light from either end. Guests can also have a glimpse of the famous Ganga Aarti – the daily ritual of offering devotion to the holy river Ganga – held at several ghats almost simultaneously

NOTE -

• Both cruises will start from Alaknanda Jetty, Sant Ravidas Ghat behind Ravidas Park, Nagwa (Ahead of Assi Ghat) Varanasi. Guests have to manage with a number of stairs at the ghat to reach our jetty. 
• Duration would be 1 hour 30 minutes each cruise
• Return to the original departure point
• No outside eatables are allowed onboard the Cruise.
